Method with Python to download you WhatsApp backup from your Google Drive

There is no an easy way to recover your WhatsApp Backup from your Google Drive. This means that if you change your phone number, and there is any issue restoring the files from your Google account, you are pretty much on your own, losing all your conversation, photos and other media you might have from your last backup.

After testing several options, I found the way to download all your backup files storage in your Google Drive account.

Step by step

There is no super easy way to do so, since Google or WhatsApp do not have such options, however, if the process is followed step by step, the user will be able to recover the files.

Safe and free

This method is totally free of charge, and everyone with a computer and internet access can perform it.

When I changed my phone number, I had the problem restoring my WhatsApp backup, it got stuck in 30% and nothing else could be done. All solutions I found on the internet was paying, so I decided to elaborate a free solution that will help me and my community, becoming one of the most important videos in my YouTube channel. 

Every year I update the video, and in total, more than 1 million views between all the videos. I helped many users to recover their conversations, photos and media from their blocked backup, a pity that WhatsApp or Google Drive does not provide an official solution, but I the meantime, I am happy to help.

Why I made this project?

I needed to recover my WhatsApp backup from Google Drive, and since no official solution is provided, I created one my own that allowed me to recover my files from Google Drive and it helps many people to do the exact same thing.
